THE AGE OF AVATARS

When people ask me what I think about the Mayan Doomsday predictions, "the end of the world as we know it", set to happen when the sun lines up with centre of the Milky Way galaxy in 2012, my answer is that it will be dawning of the "Age of Avatars."

In order to survive on a planet with 6 billion people, each person will have to become, by necessity, the most spiritually evolved person they are capable of becoming. Each person will have to become an "avatar." Jesus, Buddha, and Mohammad are all well-known examples of avatars. I think it is possible, although not entirely probable, to achieve this by 2150 A.D. (Shoot for the moon, land on the roof, as the old saying goes.)

The novel 2150 A.D. by Thea Alexander is the best realisation of this new world that I have seen. In the novel a man from the 1970's travels there in his dreams and attempts to cross from his life as a twentieth century "micro-man" to a twenty-second century Macro-man.

In the novel over 300 million inhabitants live in world free of disease, poverty, war, and malnutrition. People live simply but comfortabley. Most travel is done through astral projection, including travel to other planets and galaxies. These people are called "Macro" men because they see the world through an inclusive, extremely self-aware lens.

The few "micro" men left are living in a society recreating our existence now. They co-exist in the world with Macro man mostly for purposes of storytelling, but also because in 2150 A.D. there will still be people desiring a micro life in this incarnation who have unenlightened karma left over from previous lifetimes.

As a psychic I have witnessed so many things that to our "micro" minds seem completely unrealistic. That may be why I believe that the Age of Avatars is the next logical step in human evolution. I think that computers and the internet are the first step in creating an awareness of the other minds that share the world with us.

I believe that the reason there is so much interest in psychics and mediums and the "supernatural" right now is that we are getting ready to evolve to a world where everyone is a psychic and a medium. And I believe that the interest in pagan, nature based religions is partly because we no longer live in a world where nature is greater than man- where there are more animals than there are humans- but also partly because we must reconnect with nature spiritually before we can create a relationship with this planet that can truly sustain us.

Each person lives under the laws of their own consciousness. And each person contributes to the collective "pool" of the human mind, spirit, and body. Every time you elevate your consciousness or conquer your personal demons, you elevate the rest of us, you show the rest of us how to slay our own demons. Remember when Nadia Comenici did that perfect "10"? No one had ever seen skill like that before and it was considered very rare. Gymnasts now do much more difficult routines.

What is your perfect "10"? Now is the time to start preparing for the end of the world: by reaching for the stars in your own life; by making the changes that only you can make. The dreamy Pisces New moon is backing you.
