The Feast of Bealtaine (Beltane) is officially over and we are now in the waxing half of the year.
The night of the full moon I had an epiphany which I have been meditating on ever since:
All that any of us really has to give is that which we desire the most.
Whatever you love, whatever you wish for yourself, whatever you are seeking, that is the thing that you have to give the world. You are the one who can see its' beauty and value. It may not be that it is for you to have for yourself, but instead it is the thing that you must learn to channel.
There is a beautiful (and out of print) children's book called THE SUGAR CANDY HEART. It is one of my favourite books and I read it at least once a year at Christmas. A little girl who loves an antique sugar candy heart finds that it is the gift she covets most for herself that she must give in order to bring out about a Christmas miracle. Her struggle inspires others.
I suppose until now I understood the story only intellectually, for in contemplating my epiphany I saw that all along I knew this truth, but had never really understood it emotionally.
This year know that you cannot sow seeds for yourself alone. And know that the only seeds that will truly flourish are those that you truly possess. Whatever it is that you seek in your world is what you must bring to others.
And we must all trust that we will be guided and led. That we are watched over and surrounded by loving spirits. This is shaping up to be a hard and dangerous year for many. Those of us that can turn challenges into compost and uproot difficulties like weeds will flourish.
And we can begin to set the proper course for the years ahead. We can, in finding our own strengths, lead others to theirs.
Value yourself and your dreams. Have faith in that which you love.
...And keep your disaster kits stocked, and batteries in your smoke alarms...
Praises, Thanks, & Blessings!!!
