"Yes, I did feel the Bealtaine magick but now it seems all wonky again," a fellow witch wrote in reply to my query.
Well, at least someone else is feeling what I've been feeling. Sometimes I get paranoid and wonder if the magick over the Bealtaine weekend wasn't a set-up? A moment of unity and bliss followed by weeks of turmoil.
It isn't June. We aren't half way through this year. The year of The Great Awakening. The year when ideas, institutions, patterns, and structures that don't work anymore will begin to topple. Feel the rumble? I do.
Here is what I've been telling myself:
Roll with it. Stay steady, but bend your knees when the earth roars up, and when it slides beneath your feet, make like Laird Hamilton or Tony Hawk and try for a something so spectacular you get a standing ovation.
This is the year to change everything. This is the year when you make a choice and then you must make it work. This is a year when ordinary people can become heroes of the future. Take whatever life places in your path and triumph. Create something beautiful in every mundane moment.
This year, spread out your arms and ride the wonky waves. Reach out and everything will steady.
And if you crash... don't take it too seriously. Brush yourself off, pat yourself on the back for trying, and try again. As one of my former music teachers used to say "The difference between an amatuer and a professional is the professional learns from his mistakes."
I keep trying to become a professional human being.
PRAISES, THANKS, AND BLESSINGS!!!
