Happy New Year!
I predict this will be the year that collectively and globally humans will begin to understand money. How much they need what it really represents, and how little they need the actual paper or coinage.
Money is not based on nature. If the monetary value of something was based on nature a hamburger would NOT cost $1, even in the U.S., even at a fast food restaurant. The cost to the sustainability of this planet is much greater. Likewise, less than two apples (what you can get for a buck at the grocery store these days) is not of comparable worth to the planet.
(And note I say "sustainability." We need to think in terms of keeping this planet supportive of us. We need to stay in healthy balance with nature-- that is what the "green" movement is really about. The planet can live without us. Do you think we could live on this planet if it got say, 50 degrees warmer? It's been millions of degrees hotter than it is right now. We would do well to cultivate a temperate climate.)
Money is stored human energy (effort and time) and the collective promises of different entities, groups, and nations to honour it with an approximate exchange value. Money will not buy things that do not exist.
For instance, we cannot buy more honey to keep the honey bees from dying. And we will not be able to continue life as we know it without the honeybee! (Two out of every three bites of food an American takes depends on honeybee pollination.) If we throw off this seemingly small lifeform we put our own lives in peril. Money has no power to rectify this situation.
Yet even when money does have power, it does not always rule in favour of human need. Here we are surrounded by empty houses, yet because of our "economic" situation-- our lack of "money"-- it's empty homes surrounded by homeless people, or people doubled and tripled up. Why? How does this make sense to anyone? There is no "housing shortage" or "housing crunch".
Paradoxically, it will be this "recession" and our understanding of how much we need money-- how much we have created a world where this exchange system rules-- and how it is important to keep the flow of money even and fair (and not too heavy on the side of the buyer or seller, lender or debtor) that we will come to understand what the true power of money really is....
(drumroll? or is it obvious?)
My Own Natural Energy Yield, is how one little green book I read phrased it. Money is human energy and the promise to honour it's assigned value. This is basically an agreement between people.
("Money is people! It's people!" I say, in my best Charlton Heston accent. ;o)
Money is simply the belief that if I give you $400 or $40000 or $4 of my energy you will provide me with something of equal value to me. The over-mortgaged and under-tenanted landlord could provide cheaper housing, but s/he chooses not to, but then complains at the prices at stores, or the utility bills going up, or worse, loses the real estate.
Our economy has moved to far away from our communities. We have forgotten that we need each other. We need to learn to at least tolerate, if not accept, each other, and we need to remember that money is really about our own energy. If we can get other people to join us in working toward a common goal we will not need a lot of money to accomplish it.
If we are willing to put effort into everything that we do, regardless of how much or how little money we get for doing it, then we will only do things that are truly beneficial, and we will create prosperity in our communities, and a network for ourselves. One that is truly powerful.
Or, conversely, our need of money-- energy to use freely, with no obligation or consideration of another person-- will teach us how connected we are, even the parts of the world that we do not like-- even those that we hate, or hate us. I listen to zealots rant against Wal-mart, or Rush Limbaugh (or pick someone on the Left or Right of your choice), but they still buy gas, or work for a Wal-mart affiliate, or some such.
I doubt even the most extreme zealots would turn away money if it came from their hated oppresors/nemesis/opponents. (Probably delight even more in using it against them!) And you cannot exchange energy with someone without learning something about them. Without taking a part of them into you. So eventually, that exchange would create greater understanding and awareness, and hopefully, more healthy diversity and prosperity for all.
Money is king. Money is the thing. Money is what everyone says they want. So remember how super powerful it is, but also never forget where it actually comes from: you. "My Own Natural Energy Yield."
It is important to spend your money (and your time and your energy) wisely this year. Support your local neighborhood-- the people you see every day. And choose the people you see every day. Get yourself into an environment that is nurturing and sustaining, where the Circle of Life, the flow of giving and receiving is obvious.
Find the things you love and give them all the nurturing you have to give this year. Whether it is your dollar or your time and attention.
And try to make yourself a little money and spend when you can, to keep the flow going. Even paying off debts is spending money! This is the year we can all learn to master our finances!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
PRAISES, THANKS, & BLESSINGS!!!!
The blessings of this year are numerous! The shift in consciousness that we needed to make to move on to the Age Avatars appears to have been navigated successfully! Macro Wo/Man is here, building the way for the world of 2150 AD!!! We are surrounded by love and light! Pure heavenly pink love light!
Hopefully everyone will reach for this new future, but do stay receptive to the karma of those around you, as it may be playing out differently than your own. My advice is to stay as non-judgemental as possible, and of course, keep tapping that serenity and love vibe as often as possible!!!!!
