THE "MAKE EVERYTHING BEAUTIFUL" LENS

... which is not the same thing as rose coloured glasses...

Before I begin this post I want to remind everyone that Mercury, the little planet that rules communication (including the Internet), messages, travel, transportation, and thieves, is about to enter its "inter-solar" cycle on January 22. (Inter-solar is a more accurate term to describe what includes the "retrograde" appearance of Mercury three times a year.) Get it repaired, signed, sealed, delivered and insured. Anticipate travel delays. You should know the drill by now.

And if you haven't read Richard Nolle's 2008 astro-cast, I encourage you to at least read the first few paragraphs of financial and monetary predictions. (Although, remember, if you have been working on cleaning up your karma- and that includes financial, spiritual, emotional, etc- you will be fine, no matter what happens. And even if it is taking longer than you thought to pay off whatever debts you owe.)

The "make everything beautiful" lens is something that I have had in my possession for awhile, but only recently understood the practical use for. My spirits once explained to me that on the other side of this life everything that happens here is so beautiful that there is no difference between suffering and pleasure. A tear is as beautiful as laughter, an angry impulse as precious as a loving gesture.

Moreover, this is true even if you have lived this life. All the spirits who have been here would return again even if it meant chained to a rock, starving. That is how beautiful this life is from the other side. (I don't want to address reincarnation, which is complicated, in this post.)

That was a little too much to wrap my mind around for awhile. I understood it mainly in a mystical sense. In other words, that there is no reason for human suffering or pain, except as a necessary part of the journey in this world.

I believe we come here to solve the problems that come up in our lives. A particle of water has to attach itself to a particle of dirt to travel to the sky, form a raincloud with other particles, and fall to earth, and separate back into water and dirt. The more a problem comes up, the more difficult it is to solve, the more likely it is your reason for being here.

So, once this is understood, that we can choose to grow love or suffering, pleasure or anger, there is no longer the desire to grow anything that isn't beautiful. However, since Jesus and the Buddha have already walked this earth, and that turned out very badly for the former, it seems as if outer-space aliens a la Independence Day would have to attack earth for a concept like that to be absorbed simultaneously by the human inhabitants of this planet.

With a Homer Simpson "Doh" the other day, it hit me that, as with everything else I learn, I could only apply this to myself. I know many people--several women in particular-- that will always work very hard to make whatever environment they are in beautiful. Their houses are beautifully furnished and comfortably arranged.

The same must be done with every moment in one's life. As long as the urge to create beauty is present the laws of attraction will provide the necessary materials for joy, love, and happiness.

The "make everything beautiful" lens is composed of two types of glass: faith that the Universe will reflect your innervision, and the faith in yourself that you will be able to always create beauty.

It is winter here in Saint Louis, and in winter a garden does not appear to be growing. If you are in the winter of your soul, have faith that spring will come. And if it is lush, abundant summer, gather what you need and know that all is well.

Just keep looking at the present through the lens of love, and now and all the moments to come will be beautiful.

PRAISES, THANKS, & BLESSINGS!!!
