EDIT: I just logged in and found that when I switched my blog over to Beta it did some weird stuff, like making me 251 years old and erasing my stats and my email address. Must be this long moon void (10 Feb 07). I think it is okay now. Just in case, my email is conjurewoman1@yahoo.com. And I am NOT 251 years old.
During one of my meditations I was trying to see if I could find an apt metaphor to describe this year. The image of a barfight came to mind.
Let's say that there are three levels to this bar. The main floor is where most of the people are congregated, and it is the only floor where you can order food and drink (although you can take your orders with you to the basment or to the balcony).
Now, if you are in the basement, the barfight that breaks out on the main floor won't affect you for awhile. Depending on your rate of consumption you might even be able to sit it out. Unfortunately, that describes the people in the world who will never read this post because they don't have computers, refridgerators, or live in countries with complicated political-socio-economic infrastructures. And where no natural disasters occur.
However, for most of us, including the elite up in the balcony, this is going to be a year of big changes. You might be sitting in the corner, trying to watch the game and stay out of the fray, and bam, here comes two rolling punching patrons. You probably don't even know them or care what they are fighting about. But there they are, scattering your snacks and spilling your beer and possibley breaking your table in half. Try not to jump in the fight. See if you can just walk away. This too shall pass.
If you get a chance to pop over to Richard Nolle's site (under "Links" on my sidebar), read his yearly forecast. (You will have to wade through a lot of technical jargon, but it is worth it.)
And until the rolling punching patrons crash into your table, just stay cool, nurse your drink and your nachos and be happy you ordered early, before the entire staff retreated to the kitchen and locked the doors. You will make it through this year, and if you take the opportunity to hone your instincts (ducking before that beer bottle crashes into you) you just might make it through to 2012 and beyond.
It's okay to be happy even when the rest of the world is falling apart. In fact, it might even be necessary.
Remember, this year equals fire, natural disasters, accidents, aggression, explosions, but also great insight, powerful breakthroughs, the conquering of internal weaknesses, and possibly, A Great Awakening. Don't be surprised if you encounter bad spirits that try to exploit your failings, guilt, resentment, etc. But also don't be surprised if you see an Angel, good spirit, or even Jesus or Odin as the wandering beggar.
PRAISES, THANKS, AND BLESSINGS!!!
